About the Doctors

Welcome to The Smiling Place, where beautiful smiles are created! Our team of doctors includes Dr. Benson Araki, Dr. Chadron Araki, Dr. Caroline Shek and Dr. Jeffrey Takahashi. Together, they have over 40 years of experience in the field of dentistry!

Drs. Benson and Chad Araki both completed their education at Creighton University. Dr. Caroline Shek graduated from the University of Southern California. Dr. Jeffrey Takahashi received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University. Dr. Benson Araki completed a residency in general dentistry at Queen’s Hospital in Honolulu before going in to private practice. All of our doctors are board certified and members of the American Dental Association, Hawaii Dental Association, and the Honolulu County Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. Also, Dr. Benson is a member of Delta Sigma Delta. Our doctors are also active in the community participating with the Great Aloha Run, Health Team International, and local children’s dental health education activities.

Dr. Caroline Shek helps out with Good Samaritans and Mexico Missions. Dr. Benson Araki enjoys fishing and gardening in his spare time. Dr. Chadron Araki, who has five children, serves as an assistant scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America.
